About Me

Salam. I am proud of you for being here.

Seeking counselling can be a very daunting experience hence why I want to introduce myself. My name is Fiza Tajwar. I began my supporting journey back in 2018 when I founded the Imam Mahdi (aj) Awareness Campaign. In 2019, during Covid 19, I started up Al Mahdi Halal Foodbank in Manchester and worked with the local counsil with the shortage of Halal food at the local foodbanks. We helped nearly 50 families every week. Through that experience I became aware of many psychological and spiritual difficulties Shia muslims were experiencing.

Inspired by my desire to support others, I chose to pursue counselling and psychotherapy. My goal is to provide a safe and confidential space where individuals can find empathetic understanding and non-judgmental acceptance. Throughout this journey, I have become acutely aware of the stigma surrounding mental health issues. Many people feel that their struggles reflect a lack of faith or strength, as these internal difficulties remain invisible to the outside world. By entering this field, I hope to contribute to breaking down these misconceptions and foster a greater understanding of mental health challenges, encouraging those in need to seek help without fear of judgment.

I pursued my studies in Counselling and coaching with the intention that I would one day bring a service for the Shi'i muslim community where they would not only receive help with mental health, but also feel supported in their spiritual journey to Allah (swt) through the teachings of the Holy Quran & The Holy Household (as). With the blessings of Allah (swt), here you are seeing that dream being realised, Alhamdolillah. The best thing about every session is that I get to begin each session In the Name of Allah (swt) and by sending peace and blessing upon the Holy Prophet (saw) & His Pure Progeny.

I have researched Quranic and Shi'i teachings alongside my studies and found that there is so much to learn and benefit from. I have faith that if you are here to help yourself and others, Allah (swt) will aid your journey 100%. His words in the Holy Quran are that "I will not change the condition of people, until they change what is within themselves" (13:11). I trust this process myself as this is a promise of Our Lord but also because I have experienced this first hand.

I am here to help you with the journey of inner transformation and healing and to bring to you the knowledge and resources that I have been blessed with to be rewarded by my Lord, please the heart of Our Imam (aj) and help you with the journey that lies ahead in this world and the next.

Inshallah, through the services I offer, you will find inner healing and strength to improve every facet of your life.

You are not alone in this. I hope to see you soon.
